Environment Module

"Navigating Complex Systems"

This module introduces students to the concept of Complex Adaptive Systems, that are prevalent in nature, society, and business. Systems that are the unobserved foundation of all of nature, society, and business. It aims to instil a systemic thinking approach, enabling students to see, draw, analyse, adapt, and influence with the intention of leading in an interconnected world.

Critical Thinking

Students are taught to view problems and solutions through a holistic lens, recognizing the patterns and interdependencies in complex systems. Understand the analytical tools used in critical and systems thinking, problem interrogation and definition, and problem analysis and most importantly acting on these systems.

Analyse and Solve “Wicked” Problems

Learn how to draw Rich Pictures, collect Data, draft Propositions, construct Causal Loop Diagrams, interrogate Interrelationship Diagraphs …to establish the specific, exact problem that for resolution needs acting on.

Understand Complex Adaptive Systems

Learning how to understand and foster innovation within complex frameworks, understanding that creative leadership is crucial for systemic evolution. The student brings complex adaptive systems to life, in focus, and analyses them and acts on them.

Data

The greater the data the richer the picture. Where and how do you find data. The who what where when and how, with what rigour, what bias and what process do you collect and analyse data. The confidence you have in the action is proportionate to the integrity of the data.
